Stockfest ‘08 took place last Sunday the 18th May at County’s training facility at Manor farm, Timperley.

It was our aim to raise £1000 for the charity but we have exceeded this total and have raised well in excess of £1500. (A final total will be known shortly followed by a press release)

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved with the tournament particularly those on the Stockfest committee who have worked tirelessly over the past couple of months to make Stockfest’08
the success it was.

We have some auction items to be sold on EBay with the star attraction being a Diadora signed “GOLD” shirt with all the proceeds of the auction items going to the total raised for the MS Society. Please take a look
and dig deep for a good cause. Remember these players are taking us to Wembley so it could become a collectors item.

A tribute to Richard Harnwell

Richard Harnwell sadly passed away in 2005 after a long battle against MS. Richard was an fanatic Stockport county supporter who became famous for his Stockport County match day video commentaries.

Stockfest 2008 Penalty Shootout Competition Unveiled!

Using a slightly more scientific method than the Stockfest 2008 draw, a exciting event has been developed - the Stockfest 2008 Penalty Shootout Competition!

For the price of £1, you could make it all the way to the Grand Final, where you could win the glory and honour of being the sole representative of your club in the Grand Final. Will you be able to deal with the pressure?!

And if you go one better (technically seven better) and are the last man (or woman) standing at the end of the Stockfest 2008 Penalty Shootout Competition, you could win LOTSA money (depending on how many people enter - the prize is 50% of all entry monies, with the other 50% going to charity)!!

So chaps and chapesses - get practising your penalty kicks!

Stockfest 2008 Draw Announced!

The draw has been completed and was formulated using a Winnie the Pooh breakfast bowl and 8 screwed up pieces of paper. The two groups came out as follows:

A sponsorship form has been composed for teams competing at Stockfest to help raise as much money for the MS Society as possible.

Accessibility Handout Completed

A handout has been developed to assist Stockfest to meet the needs of people with disabilities who attend the event. The handout can be downloaded from the Resources and Downloads section of this website, and will be also be available on the day.

Stockfest 2008 now on Facebook

All teams participating in Stockfest 2008 are invited to sign up to the event and use the event Wall for pre-tournament banter - keep it reasonably clean though, guys!
